WORKING BREAKFAST
Date: June 4th 2015
Venue: Falkensteiner Hotel Belgrade
Law office Cvetković, Skoko & Jovičić held a Working breakfast at the Falkensteiner Hotel in Belgrade on June 4th 2015, in cooperation with the Franco-Serbian Chamber of Commerce whose member is attorney Goran Cvetkovic. The subject of the Working breakfast were amendments to the Law on Planning and Construction.
In three segments presented by partners Goran Cvetkovic, Mina Skoko and Jelena Jovicic respectively, attendees had the opportunity to get better acquainted with changes brought about by this law.
Some of the topics discussed included objectives of the amendments and expectated results, the establishing of a unified procedure and the responsibility of state bodies and public companies to act within the prescribed time limits with the aim of issuing building permits in a more efficient manner and relieving investors in terms of their administrative obligations, changes in the segment of urban planning so that urban plans incite rather than obstruct construction, the legal regime of construction land, the establishing of a contribution instead of the fee for land development, changes in terms of technical documentation, the building and occupancy permit.
The amended law aims to eliminate the large number of procedures and fees for obtaining a building permit, improve the business environment in order to attract as many investors as possible, increase the total economic growth and accelerate many investments and reforms, at the same time increasing the construction industry’s participation in the GDP from its current 4% to 7% in 2017.
We thank the Franco-Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Falkensteiner Hotel for their cooperation and excellent organization of the event.
